  1. Kinfolk Rescue, Part I

The Sons of the Apocalypse pulled into the parking lot in high spirits. In fact, there was a tangible sense of relief in the air now that their mission was complete. Finally, a successful mission with no casualties or serious injuries, and most importantly - no complications. Nothing negative to report to the Elders. For so long it seemed like they could do nothing right, despite the best of intentions. They were all basking in the glow that comes with success. The Son’s left their vehicles and gathered together as they approached the bar with Big Gus. They laughed and joked, as they prepared to drop Gus off, and head back to their base at the hidden glade.

“Come on in boys, drinks are on me!” announced big Gus as they approached the doors.

Joseph cocked his head to the side at this statement, and said, “Considering the span of time encompassing your aforementioned incarceration,” he began. “The probability of you producing legal tender sufficient to purchase alcoholic beverages for us is exceedingly implausible,” he finished matter-of-factly as they were passing in through the front doors.

Gus looked back at Joseph with a confused look on his face, but then laughed out loud slapping him on the back as the light bulb finally came on. “Haaha! Ya got me there, jokes on you!”

They were all chuckling as they entered the building, when a group of bikers stood up from the back tables and immediately began to approach them. They all knew immediately something was wrong with this group. Nothing anyone could quite put their finger on, but just … off – or ‘wrong’. Their grim expressions clearly showed ill intent as they moved closer, and when some of them produced guns – everyone knew a fight was on.

Jordan took one look at them and immediately felt the rage in his belly start to build. “Come on, Pussies!” he challenged them. “Lets dance!” He stalked to the nearest biker and swung his open hand at man’s face. He was thankful he was still in Glabro form, as his claws shredded the guy’s face, revealing a mouthful of sharp, wyrm tainted metallic teeth.

Seeing the bikers were actually fomor, the whole pack leaped into action. Joseph quickly drew his semiautomatic pistol and shifted to the right side of the bar, looking for an opening. The creature facing Jordan lashed out at him but missed, leaving a clear shot for Joseph. He quickly aimed and squeezed the trigger, and saw with satisfaction as the creature’s shoulder jerked back from the impact of the round.

While Joseph was moving to the right, Anton drew his bow out and moved to the left side of the bar knocking an arrow as he moved, with Liam on his heels drawing his own pistol. Conall, the last one through the door, summoned the primal rage inside him to immediately shift to Crinos form. His weight, size and mass increased to the monstrous 9-foot war-form as he charged the nearest fomor (the one facing Jordan). With a bellow of anger, he ripped it from stem to sternum – grunting in satisfaction as it dropped dead with its entrails spilling to the floor. He let out a ferocious howl of victory that changed to surprised pain as he was struck in the side by a .44 round fired by a fomor to his right. He shrugged off the pain and immediately launched an attack toward Mister .44

At this point, Joseph, Anton and Liam simultaneously opened fire, and all the fomori with guns did as well. Bullets and arrows crisscrossed the bar like crazy with both Garou and fomori taking occasional hits, though nothing serious. Jordan shifted to Crinos and took two long steps to attack a fomor with a large horn that suddenly appeared, jutting from its head like a rhino. Just as Jordan reached Rhino-head, there was a flash from the back corner as a fomor unleashed a 10-gauge slug into Jordan. Only his Garou resiliency and body armor saved Jordan from massive damage. He shook with rage and moved so fast he almost appeared invisible as he cut Rhino-head to ribbons.

  2. Kinfolk Rescue, Part II

Seeing the huge flash from the shotgun, Anton and Liam concentrated their fire on Shotgun Willy, the owner of the 10-gauge. They were unable to do any serious damage, but they definitely got its attention. It took a couple steps toward Liam and blasted him in the chest, sending him flying. Liam was stunned by the direct hit, and started bleeding profusely from the 10-gauge slug. He struggled to draw a breath, barely conscious, with a sucking chest wound. Anton shuffled sideways, and saw the pink bubbles gurgling out of Liam’s torso. Ignoring the threatening fomor, Anton opened himself to Gaia’s power began channeling the Mother’s Touch to heal Liam’s injury. Big Gus, seeing Anton and Liam were exposed, charged Shotgun Willy and grabbed hold of the barrel, trying to twist it out of it’s hands. The fomor smiled with a feral grin, let go of the shotgun with one hand and raked the claws of his other hand across Big Gus’ belly opening a nasty wound. Big Gus shrieked in pain, let go of the shotgun and fell to the ground in a fetal position, trying to cover his stomach.

Meanwhile, Conall took two enormous Crinos steps toward Mister .44, only to have the creature suddenly unleash an enormous Godzilla-like tail that slashed at his head. With preternatural grace and blurring speed, Conall evaded the tail and raked the fomor’s back with his claws. Mister .44 screamed in agony, and turned to fire another round at Conall, lightly grazing his arm.

Joseph continued to move to the right side of the room, finding slight concealment behind a table. He zeroed in on a fomor in the center of the room armed with a 9mm berretta and emptied his clip. He nicked the creature a few times, but mostly sent wood chips and debris flying from the support column and furniture he did hit.

Jordan, seeing the struggles of Liam, Anton and Big Gus, charged Shotgun Willy. He slashed at the fiend’s head, just missing it as it ducked to elude him. The fomor twisted to face Jordan, racked a new shell and shot him with double aught buckshot with his 10-gauge. Jordan grunted in pain and swiped at the beast again with his other arm. But the shock of the blast and the stinging pain was diminishing Jordan’s abilities, and he missed the fomor again. He was oozing blood from a number of wounds caused by the buckshot and was slightly disoriented. He couldn’t afford to miss the beast again. This time he concentrated his Will and gathered his wits to focus his third attack. He slashed with all his strength, severing Shotgun Willie’s head. The head went flying with bits of gore and green pus spattering the room behind it.

  3. Kinfolk Rescue, Part III

Having pulled Liam back from the brink of death, Anton moved to help Gus, just as Conall was drawing upon his inner rage to focus a renewed attack on Mister .44. He struck the brute on both sides of its head like a WWF wrestler, squashing its head like a ripe melon. The fomor’s head burst with an explosion of green burning pus as the dead body slowly toppled to the ground. A crescent shaped glob of pus landed on Conall’s cheek, just below his left eye – burning like acid. He tried to wipe it off, but it stuck to him like napalm.

Anton, Liam and Joseph continued firing on the remaining fomor, distracting and suppressing them while Conall and Jordan continued to dish out death in individual combat. In short order the few standing fomor were dead, until the lone survivor fled out the back door. The Sons followed him out, meaning to finish the job, but by the time they got out back they only found a dead human husk, with a giant gaping hole in its back where the departing bane had escaped. They could find no trace of the wyrm creature itself.

Having defeated their foes, the Sons gathered back in the bar and discovered nearly a dozen bound Get of Fenris kinfolk in a back room. They questions the kinfolk and examined the fomori, but were unable to discover anything further about the plot. They gave the kinfolk contact information for the local Bone Gnawer sept in case they needed more help, and left for the hidden glade to carry word of this new development.
